ABOUT TPS
Greg Hanson, MD, MPH is a physician turned startup founder that is interested in all things technology and medicine. Greg was an interventional radiology resident when be built and ultimately sold his previous startup, flipMD to GoodRx in 2022.

Since selling his company, he has left clinical medicine and is now an active angel investor that is interesting in bridging the gap between physicians and Silicon Valley.
​
Greg attended and graduated form UCLA with a BS in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences in 2010. He then went on to Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and received his MPH in Applied Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Afterwards, he then spent four years in New Hampshire and graduated from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine before moving to Philadelphia to begin his integrated interventional radiology resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Ronak Parekh, MBA began his career at Artiman Ventures, refining his skills in venture capital and investment management, and developing an enduring passion for the startup and angel investing world. As Big Tech began to take off, he joined Facebook as their first data scientist focused on legal issues, pushing analytics and data management to new heights.
Ronak went on to contribute to the development of novel machine learning algorithms for Spotify's music recommendation system and to enhance the AI capabilities of Tesla. After this, he returned to Facebook to lead a global team of data scientists.
Throughout his career, Ronak has partnered with entrepreneurs and startups embarking on ambitious and exciting roadmaps, assisting with their funding, business development, technology, and data needs. Ronak holds a B.S. in Mathematics/Economics from UCLA and an MBA from Santa Clara University, and he continues to be driven by his passion for innovation and investment in the tech industry.

The Physician Syndicate Podcast has a goal of introducing physicians to topics they would otherwise never cross paths with until they make it into clinical medicine. From AI to medical devices and everything in between, we will feature, highlight, and introduce these topics to our audience.
